In this class we will make a picture using a collage of various fabric elements. You do not need your sewing machine for this class. These can be found online by searching Laura Heine patterns.
This class is for a pull-over hoodie that makes up well from just about anything -Recycled quilts, blankets, Kantha cloth, beach towels, etc. Basically anything that isn’t heavy or bulky. If using yardage you will need roughly 3.5 yards. Pattern is required - contact the instructor about this as she has a discount code. Hoodie in photo was made from one piece of Kantha cloth.

For this class you will need one pair of jeans, some other pieces of fabric - maybe canvas, corduroy, suede, a piece of embroidery, or whatever you think will look good; half a yard of cotton for the lining, a yard of nylon or cotton strapping, any embellishments you want to use, and your imagination. You will need to know how to use your sewing machine, but this project is beginner friendly. After class you’ll be making these bags for everyone on your Christmas list!

Bring several small pieces of fabric in different colors, rotary cutter, “Add a Quarter” ruler if you have one, and a small cutting mat. This workshop is an advanced technique and we will make a small project.

English Paper Piecing is a hand sewing class for a patchwork technique that uses templates to make interesting shapes. The class will use the hexagon shape and we will discuss other shapes as well as fabric selection, thread, needles, and stitch techniques.
