Let's make something pretty for Valentine's day. All you need is a sweatshirt and some red or pink fabric scraps! We will applique one heart or more to the sweatshirt to make it festive. Come join me for this fast and fun class.

This class is for a pull-over hoodie that makes up well from just about anything -Recycled quilts, blankets, Kantha cloth, beach towels, etc. Basically anything that isn’t heavy or bulky. If using yardage you will need roughly 3.5 yards. Pattern is required - contact the instructor about this as she has a discount code. Hoodie in photo was made from one piece of Kantha cloth.

In this class we will make a picture using a collage of various fabric elements. You do not need your sewing machine for this class. These can be found online by searching Laura Heine patterns.

You will learn lots of tips that will help you get comfortable with your machine and get you started on a fun hobby.

You will need two pieces of 11” x 23” cotton fabric and a piece of batting the same size. Also a Composition book, large button and a ponytail elastic. If you want to make one that looks like the picture let the instructor know and she will bring fabric strips to create it.

This technique allows for a wide range of projects. At the end of the class you will have a beautiful, one of a kind scarf to take home!

Ever wondered what you could do with a pair of old jeans? Recycle them into a classic, one of a kind tote bag! For this class you will need one pair of jeans, some other pieces of fabric - maybe canvas, corduroy, suede, a piece of embroidery, or whatever you think will look good; half a yard of cotton for the lining, a yard of nylon or cotton strapping, any embellishments you want to use, and your imagination. You will need to know how to use your sewing machine, but this project is beginner friendly. After class you’ll be making these bags for everyone on your Christmas list!

Machine Paper piecing is a quilting technique that will give the quilter many options for intricate designs with crisp points. Bring several small pieces of fabric in different colors, rotary cutter, “Add a Quarter” ruler if you have one, and a small cutting mat. This workshop is an advanced technique and we will make a small project.

You will need 1 yard of a printed cotton fabric, 1 yard of a coordinated solid cotton fabric, matching thread, sewing machine and all sewing supplies. This project is beginner friendly.
Learn how to applique with this cute table runner for Easter. If you already know the basics of applique this is a good project to help you practice your skills. You will need 1/2 yard of white background cotton fabric, 1/2 yard of cotton batting, 1/2 yard of cotton backing fabric, and four 10 x10” squares of different pastel colored cotton fabrics for the bunnies. You will also need some Heat & Bond Lite fusible which can be found at Walmart or Amazon. Bring your sewing machine with an open toe foot for applique and all sewing supplies.

neutral color, scissors, and other sewing supplies.
