NY Beauty Quilt Class (machine paper piecing curves)

Discover the beauty and precision of the classic New York Beauty quilt in this engaging and skill-building class. Known for its striking curved spikes and circular designs, the New York Beauty pattern offers endless creative possibilities.

In this class, students will learn step-by-step techniques for successfully piecing sharp points, sewing smooth curves, and assembling New York Beauty paper-pieced blocks with accuracy and confidence. This class is best suited for intermediate quilters who are comfortable with basic piecing and ready to take on curved construction. By the end of the class, students will have completed blocks and the knowledge needed to continue their quilt at home.

Materials needed: fabrics of your choice ( should have good contrast). Fabric A, Background 3/8 yard; Fabric B, Arc and binding 1/2 yard; Fabric C, points 3/8 yard. Backing fabric and batting, each about 24” square. Sewing machine, neutral & matching threads, small cutting mat and rotary cutter to use beside your machine, small iron and ironing pad, Add-a-Quarter Ruler, Wonder Tape, size 70 machine needle, purple thang or similar stiletto.
