Pottery Water Fountain Class with Karla

Create your own water fountain- ready in time for Christmas!

Newbie or experienced, this project class is designed for all levels of experience! Karla Tucker will work with each person to improve their throwing skills, develop a design, and bring their idea to life.

Wondering if you can do this? The answer is yes! The most basic fountain design requires just two bowls and a cup. A fountain can be this simple, or it can be a challenging design for a seasoned potter.

We’ll work through the project together as a group, with individual guidance along the way.

Here’s what we’ll do:

Class 1: Plan your design and layout, then begin throwing with assistance.

Class 2: Continue creating the body of your fountain.

Class 3: Trim your pieces, add hand-built elements, and include details, textures, and creative touches.

Class 4: Glaze your fountain.

Between classes, students may come into the studio to work independently or one-on-one with Karla.

The class cost includes: class instruction, clay, glaze, bisque and glaze firing, the fountain pump, studio time, and private instruction.

What to Wear: Clothes and shoes you don't mind getting messy! (Pro-tip: Trim long fingernails and tie back long hair for the best experience on the wheel).
