Introduction to Painting

Embark on a creative journey through art history in this introductory painting class. Each week, you'll be introduced to an artist you may have never encountered before, such as Marc Chagall, Gustav Klimt, Paula Rego, and Paul Klee. We will study their unique use of materials and historical importance, then put that knowledge into practice.

This hands-on course will allow you to sample a wide variety of painting and drawing media, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil, pastel, and ink. You'll explore different techniques and approaches inspired by the masters, building a strong foundation in painting while expanding your artistic horizons.
